And the Snow Continues

Hi! I continued to take pictures off and on through the night. Same view, same evening as before. These take us up through about 11 a.m., January 20.

As I write this, more snow has started--just about the time we've got our sidewalks tolerably clear! Oh well. The snow is pretty, and I love how quiet make makes the nights.

Lots I want to tell you about--the upcoming sauerbraten shindig, our orchids (such as they are), and our furniture! But unfortunately I'm behind on a work project. Soon, I promise, I'll have more.

I went past your house today, my daughter and I were wedding shopping. We went to Schaffer house. I showed her your house and the one you were taping. She was impressed with your HUGE house.

How will we handle another 6-8 inches. Personally I won't mind. The pantry is full and I'm off work until next friday!!

Have a great weekend.

Ha ha! It's huge, but all the rooms are small! It was converted into a home in 1929-1930, Depression time, so it lacks the kind of adornment you see in homes built earlier.

And just about *any* house would look large next to that little one across the street, the salon. Did you know that was one of the earliest homes in this neighborhood? There were other tiny ones like that, but they've pretty much disappeared by now.

Another bit of trivia: when my great-grandparents first moved to Jeff City, they rented a room in that little house.

Did you see my post about Josephine Weber? Here's the address:
