We learn so much, and we grow much more compassionate, I think, when we listen to the truths of each others' lives. Too many bits and bytes these days; too much reductionism into black and white. The only lesbian/gay friends I have are online, because I don't get out much; I don't even drive. I've come a long way in my political/religious beliefs in the past 15 years, thanks to the Internet.
